During the meeting of the Board of Delegates of the Dutch Bar Association (NOvA) on June 25, Maaike Bomers was elected to the General Council. She will begin her role as a board member on July 1, 2024. Background and Experience Mr. M.L.J. Bomers has been a lawyer since 1994 and currently runs her own government and real estate practice in Nijmegen. Until March 2024, she served as the dean of the bar association in the Gelderland district for over five years. During her tenure, she was also the vice-chair of the national deans' council from 2022 to 2023. In addition to her legal practice, Bomers is a board member at Lawyers for Lawyers and a guest lecturer at Radboud University. She has previously been a board member of the Legal Valley foundation and a lecturer for the professional training program for lawyers.
